I was going to use colored pencils, but half of them were missing (o.0 where could they go?) so this is watercolors. It's probably for the best, I don't have shading skills...
Anyway, it's of the things I associate with fall. Reading and a crisp breeze, along with the colorful (yet subdued) flowers and leaves. Mostly I just really wanted to draw the orange and pink flowers, though.
The purple background...originally it was just behind the flowers along the bottom and tapered up the right side, but, the curve was off...so I did the whole thing. I kind of wish I didn't though, the color was more effective before =/ This is the universe sending a subtle reminder that if I learned to use something like photoshop or gimp, I would have access to that nice "undo history" tool...
I thought you said "bad things" happen when you use color. lol. The color came out really well. I for one dont really enjoy using water colors, but you seem to have a real knack for using em.
Thanks ^.^ I have a better hold on them than pencils or ink, but, they still need a lot of work I think if I were to color something that already existed, like the Nephenee drawing, the off-ness would be much more apparent = P

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
